Introduction

This book collects key research reports by Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University in 2013. The authors of the book are experts from either Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University or well-known experts from domestic related areas and research institutions; Data and information are from public publications or the authors’ research results, not involving any state secrets. We publish the series of books in order to provide relevant information to more readers or institutions that are concerned about national conditions, world situations and the party’s studies. As an academic reading, views in this paper only represent the authors’ opinions, not the publisher’s tendency or perspective. As the book series have a large scale, covering a wide range of content, errors and shortcomings may inevitably be contained during the editing process, and readers are welcomed to inform us about the problems found during reading in a timely manner for our better revision and improvement in the future.
