Tang Xiao is currently the associate professor of School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University, the assistant research fellow of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University, and the guest researcher of Summer Institute for China Green Innovators (SICGI).
His main research objects are Five-Year Plan and environmental governance, and his research area is policy implementation and official motivation. He has undertaken and participated in a number of major subjects of the 11th Five-Year Plan, 12th Five-Year Plan and 13th Five-Year plan of the state, relevant ministries and commissions, and local governments. He has published more than 10 academic papers in Chinese and English; he has also published over 20 internal references of National Top Think Tank Report and Report on Contemporary China, and received instructions from party and state leaders for many times. He has won the National Excellent Postdoctoral Academic Achievement. He was honored with Outstanding Postdoctor of Tsinghua University, Outstanding Doctoral Graduate of Tsinghua University, and he won Committee of 100 Leadership Program Scholarship and Tsinghua University Special-grade Scholarship.
