Cheng Wenhao graduated from the Department of International Politics, Peking University in 1996 and received his Ph.D. in politics from Yale University in 2002. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard Kennedy School in the spring semester of 2003. At the end of 2000, he co-founded the Clean Government Research Studio of the School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University (now the Research Center for Anti-corruption and Governance). He is now a professor of the School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University, Director of the Research Center for Anti-corruption and Governance. He served as the Executive Director of the Institute of China Supervision and a member of the Supervision Committee of the Beijing Olympic Games. He published theoretical monograph Corruption Prevention (Tsinghua University Press, 2011).
