Wang Youqiang is the professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University, Director of the China Public Leadership Research Center of Tsinghua University, and Deputy Executive Director of the China Institute for Development Planning at Tsinghua University. He served as Executive Vice Rresident and party secretary of School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University, Deputy Secretary General of Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee (temporary post), and Vice President of the Yangtze Delta Region Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang. He has long been engaged in the teaching and research of public economics, government management, leadership, development strategy, urban planning and management. His major English academic papers are published on international first-class academic journals in economics and management and his Chinese academic papers are published on Chinese Public Administration, Journal of Public Management and other authoritative Chinese academic journals. His subject research report The Research on the Issue of Deepening the Reform of Administrative System won the 6th Higher School Science Research Excellent Achievement Award (humanities and social sciences). He was in charge of the Research on the Structure and Operation of Chinese Government Departments, a key project of the Natural Science Foundation of China.
